Holiday History

To get us all in the Christmas Spirit, I thought I'd share some interesting Holiday trivia with you. Let us go back in time and see how it all began. Now this works if you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, or Kwanzaa:

A long, long time ago in an ancient faraway land, there lived a small tribe of primitive but peaceful folk who celebrated the holiday season each year alone. Once the holiday season began, these peaceful villagers would do their holiday shopping at the local mall and then hole up in their caves alone, enjoying the holiday season but somehow feeling that something was missing. One year at the beginning of a new holiday season, one small young child—Larry Smith—got it in his head to share the holiday season with others. He slowly approached the oldest person in the village, Moe Lester, cleared his throat and spoke loudly: "Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings, Moe!" The villagers were shocked. But then it all made sense! A cheer arose from the village and it was the best holiday season ever! Huzzah! This is how holiday greetings were born.
