LAST MINUTE GIFT IDEAS

Here are a few last minute gift ideas for me. A USB single-slice toaster that plugs right into your laptop computer for toast "on the go". This or any type of toasting-computer product is fine. Also, a subscription to the "Salt of the Month Club" is good. If you hurry, I can still get the January selection; the salt for January is "fine table salt". Also, there's the "Make Your Own Umbrella Kit" I've been eyeballing for quite some time now. I would like to make one that doesn't fold up in the wind.

More Knitting Stuff

I want this needle kit from Knitpicks.

And some of the little purple tags at the bottom to go with it!

If you don't want to order anything, or there's not enough time, Naturally Needlepoint at London Square on Lewis has Koigu Painter's Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM) yarn that I like. Two skeins make a pair of socks.

Or one of those tanks like Eric posted about below. What's the point of one person having a tank if there's no one else to crash into?

ANOTHER COFFEE MUG! MMMMM....

This mug would go great with.... hmmm... avocadoes? Nah, that's not right. Oatmeal? That doesn't seem right either. Oh yeah, Tastykakes! Yep, what a great gift combo that would make: a Tastykake mug and a big mess o' Kandy Kanes. Or Butterscotch Krimpets. Either one of those or both, I'm not picky. I don't think it's too late to order online if you order this week. Hopefully. You can get it right here on the Tastykake website--only $7!

Jack - anything Thomas the Train, blocks, cars, clothes, etc.

If you do decide to get something off of here please let me know so that I can take it off of Santas list.

PRICE DROP!!! SWEET!!!

This sucker was 100 freakin' bucks, but I guess they got sick of no one buying them so Amazon cut the price in half! That's right, the entire series of Brisco County Jr. for just 50 smackers! This and the nerd game below would make a great "nerd theme" gift! For me! Yippee!!! Here's the link; plus it's on my Amazon Wish List, too! Bless you, Santa....

UPDATE!

Okay, if you don't want to spend a measley 78 bucks on me, I understand. Fortunately I have discovered something that will please both of us...

Drum roll please...

Here is a portable XM receiver that also records MP3s. So, instead of being tied to my car all day so I can listen to the radio, now I can take it with me! Maybe I can even get a little exercise since I can get outta my car! Wow! You'd be extending my life by buying this for me!

Not to mention, you'd be extending your own personal enjoyment by keeping me around a few more years! WOW! That's something to think about... Okay, don't think about it too long.

Just go here and you can keep me around longer for the low, low price of only $300. WOWZERS!

You'd also be my best friend EVER!!!!!!

Now, is this too much to ask for your favorite daughter, oops I mean, best friend! :-)

I wonder who has me..............HUM...........

Well, the joke is really on me, since my secret santa doesn't even check this website.

NICE!

Hat I Want To Make

The Kristen Hat kit. You can find it here: http://www.beaellisknitwear.com/originals.html

Scorll down to the hat section. I like #2434 for the main color and #4203 for the contrasting color. Or any color combination you like. I also like the Ufserud Hat Kit.

That is all.

NERD ALERT!!!

If you have the guts.... and you don't mind getting a little nerd grease on you... I would love this game. But here's the danger: you gotta wander deep into the Den of Nerds. That's right, the game shop on 31st Street just west of Sheridan. If you're a woman, you are definitely playing with fire. Nerds are somewhat harmless, but they will mob you if you enter their domain. Remember, they usually only see women on TV... and that's only women with a lot of Star Trek alien makeup on. Anyway, the game is called "The Princes of Florence", and it should be less than $40. So put on some baggy sweatpants, grab the game and get outta there fast. You can always take a shower at home to wash the Nerd Juice off. Good luck! (If you aren't brave enough, you can always get the game on Amazon.com or here.)

I WANT THIS BOOK!

This poor man is in the hospital with cancer. Please buy his book for me for cryin' out loud! It's only 20 bucks on Amazon.

Oh yeah, this is a good one...

Okay, I found something else that I want. It's XM Nexus, satellite radio and MP3 player. I found this the other night for $78 at Wal-Mart. Here's a pic. Nice huh??

The Walmart website says it's $99, but seriously it was only $78 in the store 2 days ago. So, shop around.

Okay then, bye for now.

Crackberry here.

Additions/changes to the list provided by Cheryl.
The OTA antenna - I've seen the terk-5 for anywhere from $27-$40. There are probably others that work fine, that is just one that somebody on a forum told me about.

The ph meter should be about $39, the tds is more...I think around $60. Combos are well over $100. How much sense does that make??

The harmony remote costs around $100 so too much.
Other possibles: Breadmaker, cordless mice and keyboard, lowe's gift card, boston acoustic satelites for the rear speakers (prolly too much though...I think they're over $100), extra ram for the puter, fish (australian rainbows...might be tough to wrap though).

That's all 4 now.

More Yarn--and Holiday Greetings.

Ok, Cheryl, since you asked, you could get me anything on this page: http://www.lisaknit.com/yarn/animalfibers/sock-merino.html

I especially like the ones at the top, the solid colors, like Foxglove and St. Valentine's.

See you suckers at Los Cabos! Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Crackberry's list

You all know what I mean. You don't have to ask who. Just read the list. And...STICK TO THE LIST!!! David made the list for a reason, he says you better stick to it, or he'll read you an article off his blackberry and you'll be SERVED!! HA!

1. Digital TDS or PH meter, or both. (Something for his fish tank).
2. Harmony 659 (Remote control)
3. Nerf bars for the truck, these are expensive, so I don't recommend buying them.
4. OTA Antenna
5. Work shoes (dress shoes), don't know the size, if you want to get him these, ask me and I'll look.
6. LCD Monitor
7. Outdoor speakers

Okay, his list is entirely too expensive, I know. I don't know what to do about it. I found some stuff on Ebay, just shop around. Who has him anyway??

Oh, this list is good for his birthday too, (December 1st) for anyone that needs an idea. We can all go in on something for him, and get something knocked off his list. Let me know what you think.

You didn't wake me.

You have to wake me up if you want my list. DUMMIES! David has not yet had his Crackberryectomy. It's still attached to his hand and his eyes are not allowed to be moved from the screen until he gets through the surgery. We are hoping this will happen before Christmas.

I do not know yet what I want. I do need some shoes though. These would be nice. In a size 5.

Shut up, they are European sizes! My feet are not stumps!! You suck.

I have to think of some more stuff. I don't know what else. Unless you want to give me money, money is always good, I love CASH!!!

I'll post something on David after lunch.

Updates to the Kiddos Info

Ok Sorry for the delay everyone for how long this took. I was not sure how to make Jack and Sarah separate lists on Amazon so I added them to mine. Highest is for both kids, High is for Sarah, Medium is for Jack and Low is for me (as if you could not tell). Below are a couple of things that Sarah wanted on her list from Santa but they were not on Amazon.

Disney Project and Draw (Target), Hobby Do's Bead Set (Target), Bella Dancerella Ballet Home Studio with Video (Walmart), Stats Arcade 7 in 1 Power Glide Multi Game (Toys R Us) , and since she is getting her IPod she wants a Pink IDog with a Pink IDog Purse and clothes for her IDog.

Jack - anything Thomas the Train, blocks, cars, clothes, etc.

If you do decide to get something off of here please let me know so that I can take it off of Santas list.

Has anyone heard from Caleigh about her list?

Vince's Christmas List

This list fell out of Vince's pocket on Pizza Night, and I was clever enough to snag it. I am reproducing it here, copied verbatim from the handwritten list.

Vince's Christmas List

1. Triangle--with Paul's banjo, we could start a band

2. Magic beans--not sure where to find these. Maybe ebay?

c. Blue water--This would be really great if there is a toilet with blue water too. I would enjoy this.

d. An abacus--I hear this is some really great new technology. This would help speed up my bill-paying and checkbook-balancing.

5. So you want to be an Innkeeper--possible retirement idea. We have plenty of room. People would enjoy my bacon.

6. Pea soup with ham

This is all I can think of for now. Hopefully I will get at least one of these items for Christmas. Maybe once I get my new TV and can actually see the images on the screen, I will have some more ideas. I love TV.

Oh, that reminds me, I also want this shirt. With my Joey from Friends T-shirt, it will help round out my television show Tshirt collection.

Holiday History

To get us all in the Christmas Spirit, I thought I'd share some interesting Holiday trivia with you. Let us go back in time and see how it all began. Now this works if you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, or Kwanzaa:

A long, long time ago in an ancient faraway land, there lived a small tribe of primitive but peaceful folk who celebrated the holiday season each year alone. Once the holiday season began, these peaceful villagers would do their holiday shopping at the local mall and then hole up in their caves alone, enjoying the holiday season but somehow feeling that something was missing. One year at the beginning of a new holiday season, one small young child—Larry Smith—got it in his head to share the holiday season with others. He slowly approached the oldest person in the village, Moe Lester, cleared his throat and spoke loudly: "Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings, Moe!" The villagers were shocked. But then it all made sense! A cheer arose from the village and it was the best holiday season ever! Huzzah! This is how holiday greetings were born.

Welcome!

I thought a Family blog would be a good way to keep track of Christmas stuff and make everything a bit more organized. And Kim and Cheryl agreed!

Basically, this is to be used as a high-tech version of the list-on-the-refrigerator method.

For example, I want this for Christmas:

And you can find it here.

See how easy?

But don't worry. We've still got these:
